Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa
243 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills
The family-owned Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa offers a host of services that will take your mind off of the festivities without breaking the bank. One stand-out service is their soft pack floats. During the $130 treatment, you’ll be exfoliated, scrubbed, decorated in mud, and wrapped like a present. But wait, there’s more! From there you’ll float for an hour in pressure-free cushion water. Say it with me: Ahhh. Can’t make it to Glen Mills? There’s another location in Springfield.

Alexis Rose Xperience
1170 S. Broad Street, Point Breeze and 400 Commerce Drive Fort Washington
It’s a fact of life that it’s hard to hold on to stress when you’re shaking your hips to Beyoncé. Given that Alexis Rose Xperience’s dance cardio classes have you focused on choreography (rather than your to-do list), it’s easy to let things go in these 60-minute sessions. Classes are $25 for a drop-in, and the workouts pop up at a studio in Fort Washington on Tuesdays and Saturdays and in Point Breeze on Sundays.
Title Boxing Club
2101 Market Street, Center City
Okay, so maybe you just need to punch the stress away — and that’s totally doable at the new Title Boxing Club in Center City. At this club, you’ll get a mix of one-on-one attention from the boxing coaches and time spent on the heavy bags during eight three-minute rounds. A drop-in class will run you $30, and the hour-long session is all you need to clear your head.
Wax + Wine
1034 Pine Street, Center City
Alone time is always important. However, sometimes you get by with a little help from your friends. Instead of holding in everything that’s bothering you this holiday season, why not call up your closest friends for a night out in the city (and a little vent session). Wax + Wine is a BYOB spot where you create your own custom candle while sipping on your favorite wine. It’s a 75-minute long process (plenty of time to vent) and you can make a candle for $35 or two candles for $45.
